Handmade Ceramic Buttons – Malachite Green (Medium ~ 20 mm)

These buttons are carefully handcrafted from white clay in my farm studio. Each piece is fully shaped and polished by hand. The front is glazed in a rich malachite green, while the back is sanded (un-glazed) to create a smooth surface that won’t catch on the fibers of your knits or wool fabrics. Every button is unique — subtle variations in color and texture highlight their handmade character.

Durability & Care

All buttons are kiln-fired and glazed to stoneware hardness. They are not plastic and may break if struck very forcefully against a hard surface, though this is unlikely. Most buttons are lightweight (slightly heavier than plastic) and do not distort knitted fabrics. Naturally, larger buttons are slightly heavier than smaller ones.

They are washable and resistant to water and detergents. Machine washing is possible on a gentle cycle, though hand washing is recommended for delicate knits. Air drying is advised to avoid contact with the dryer’s metal drum.
